Which came first? The Marmot or the Falcon? Well, our new marmot design was the instigator, and you find out more about how the concept surfaced with the design inspiration for Downhill Only.
With Downhill Only we were encouraged to look at other animals and other sports. At Glower we wear our heart on our sleeve, with a passion for the great outdoors, adrenaline rich sports such as Snowboarding and Mountain Biking and live music.
From our site and our blog this should be clear. But what you might not know about us, is our obsession with birds of prey. When we ride, we enjoy nature, explore the pure beauty of the outdoors and hope for the occasional, unexpected encounter with local wild life. Many a cycle trip is brought to a halt when kites or buzzards are flying around.
We have an incredible Hawk Conservancy close to home that we love to visit and support. For its speed and agility, the falcon was the predator of choice to represent our passion for riding the hills.
What would you do with the ability to fly high in the hills? Near the top of the list would certainly be to grab the board, soar to the top of the nearest mountain after a night of snow fall and make the First Tracks in fresh powder. No one would beat you to the top and the whole mountain range would be yours.
First Tracks is part of Glower's "I RIDE" Series.
